The services of “St Abraam Ministry” are all about real encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and relief the suffering and wounds of the members of His body that are called His Brothers. According to Christ’s teachings, what we do to the hungry, thirsty, the stranger, the naked, the sick and the prisoner is done to Him personally. Failure of doing something to comfort any of those afflicted is like turning the face away from Christ in His suffering. The consequence is very climatic and vital, either to be considered worthy of God’s kingdom or the eternal fire (Matthew 25: 31-46).

Christ gave us the wonderful example to follow. God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power and He went about doing good by healing the sick, feeding the multitudes, raising the dead, calling sinners to repentance and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). The needy and weary souls came to Him and found in Him peace and comfort. As the Spirit of the Lord works in our hearts, that love to do good, we follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ in doing good so that we have inheritance in His Kingdom.

Charitable Programs

The needs are always there, whether locally or globally. The Lord Jesus said, “You have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good”, Jesus said (Mark 14:7). As much as God opens the doors and gives power, the services of St Abraam Ministry is to be there, wherever the needs are. The areas of the program of helping the need are unlimited. St Abraam Ministry is considering many programs that respond to the needs of individuals or families, as well as to the projects for the needy.

Care of Persecuted Families in Egypt:

In several places in Egypt, the belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord can lead to severe hardship, as happened in the Kosheh, Naga Hammady, Imbaba, Almokattam, Amiriya in Alexandria and recently in Dahshour. The extremist and the thug delight of killing Christians, looting, burn their homes and destroying their stores, pharmacies and other places work, leaving families without food or shelter. In such places, a rumor or simple dispute between Christian and unchristian can lead to a disaster with all measures. In dark moments, the survival of such persecuted family may find himself or herself as widow, orphan or caregiver for disabled member or members of the family.

Such tragedies call for immediate actions of love. St Abraam Ministry responds by providing food, shelter, clothing, spiritual support and financial aid to Christians suffering the effects of persecution. The goals of St Abraam Ministry under this program are:

To provide financial assistance to the devastated persecuted families in order to relief the shock of sudden crisis and help them to restore their houses, stores, pharmacies or their places of work.
To provide financial assistance to meet with the urgent basic needs to live, such as food, shelter, clothing, etc. until the restoration of the financial status of the families.
To provide a voice for believers who are suffering for their faith, to rally prayer, moral and spiritual support for them and supply some of their spiritual needs.

Adoption of Needy Families in Egypt:

St Abraam Ministry invites you to adopt one or more of needy families in the cities and villages in Egypt. Lists of needy families in poor areas and their case descriptions are provided by the priests of the churches responsible for these families.

Many families have dramatic moving stories finding themselves without any means of income and usually turn to their small church in the village to ask for help. Some of the needy families have lost their fathers and providers because of their death at an early age because of the lack of good medical care. The goals of St Abraam Ministry under this program are:

1. To provide regular financial assistance to the needy families in Egypt in order to relief their daily struggles to meet the most basic needs to live, such as food, shelter, clothing, etc. to provide better life for the hope for a better future for their children.

2. To provide financial assistance to cover the seasonal and occasional needs of the adopted families such as holidays, marriages, sickness, education etc.

Hospitality to New Immigrant Families:

Many families arrive daily to the United States of America, because of the poor conditions in their country, whether from Egypt, Iraq, Syria and the like. In St. Abraam Ministry and probably in many churches, we are confronted with the counterpart of the oppression in Egypt and the Middle East, and they are the hardships that those new immigrants face in the process of their relocation in the diaspora.

Doing good to such families is considered as being done to Christ Himself. He said, For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in” (Matthew 25:35, NIV).

In his epistle to the Hebrews, St Paul said, “Do not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers [in the brotherhood—being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it” (Hebrews 13:2, AMP).

St Abraam Ministry invites you to hospitalize one of such new families for a short period and to help them in their relocation needs. The goals of St Abraam Ministry under this program are:

1. To provide welcoming atmosphere with loving Christian family for a short period until they find room or apartment for their living.

2. Provide financial assistance such as rent deposit and/or first month rent, if needed.

Concierge Services to New Immigrant Families:

1- Transportation services to new families from and to travel destinations.

2- Accompany to Social Security, Welfare, Motor vehicle and school offices.

3- Help the family to understand the mail they receive.

4- Balance checkbooks and prepare bills for signature.

5- Resolve insurance, Medicaid issues.

6- Accompany to shopping and recreation

7- Help in finding jobs.

8- Home or apartment findings

Educational Services to New Immigrant Families:

1- Language lessons [ESL]

2- Tutoring new comers students [Math, Science, English, …etc.]

3- Counseling new comers students

4- Teach how to use computer, Internet and cell phones
